Hello World !

What’s in a name ?   Well in my case, I was named for my grandmother, Maria Rosa.  And years ago, when Arana Rosa Designs was launched - I wanted to honor both of my grandmothers.  Arana was my maternal grandmother’s family name and Rosa for my paternal grandmother.  

Speaking of launches - today is my launch in cyberspace.  ‘Hello World’ is a nod to my formal education as an application programmer.  The first program I ever wrote on an Apple IIe in high school science club was similarly named.  

The physical launch of Arana Rosa took place around 20 years ago.  I had been stitching for about 10 years and wanted to get into teaching and designing   The launch party was a small private affair attended by some close friend and my parents.   My Dad has passed away two years ago today and since he was always my biggest supporter, I will honor that original launch and include a message from him :
